The Collège des Enseignants en Radiologie de France (CERF) and Medexprim have co-designed a platform that allows radiologists to conduct multicentric research projects.

This specialized sovereign HDS cloud platform allows radiologists from different hospitals to centralize anonymized images to build qualitative datasets compliant with regulations. Using a research-oriented viewer as well as quality control, enrichment, annotation, and segmentation tools included in the platform, images can be contextualized and structured to facilitate cohort creation. Radiologists remain in control of the entire process:

• They coordinate the studies that can be conducted on the platform.
• They are free to participate or not in these studies.
• They are systematically consulted before any use of image data from PACS, DACS, RIS, or other solutions.

The site radiologist is fully involved in the quality of the data collection and in the uses that can be made of the radiological data. »

Deployed on a dozen hospital sites, this platform will continue to grow to better meet the needs of multicenter research in radiology. It is the prelude to a European deployment to integrate partner sites of excellence in imaging.

About the CERF
The CERF brings together all the university hospital teachers, radiology interns, and anyone contributing to teaching or research in radiology and medical imaging, i.e., more than 1500 members. It coordinates teaching and research activities in Radiology and Medical Imaging. The CERF also supports research actions with particular support to the interns of Radiology (research grants CERF-SFR), as well as the structuring and the harmonization of the research in Imaging and by Imaging. It supports multicentric and collaborative actions.
